Adventures in Crinkle Ribbon

Well, I have been promising you a pic of all the crinkle ribbon I have been making!  So here it is!

Above are little samples and a close up of different shades of pink. The one in the middle I added a little black ink to the pink and I loved the result   Some looked shaded with varying hues, some looked quite antique, but all are beautiful and unique.  Looking at other blogs I realize my samples are super crinkled, but you can smooth them out with an iron and then spritz with water again and crinkle slightly!   I used all different kinds of ink-- from sprays, to stamp pads, to re-inkers and found they ALL work.  If you are interested in making your own crinkle ribbon there are LOTS of video's on You tube.  I watched 3 different ones and each gal did it a little differently.  When I get some larger pieces done I will give some away as blog candy, so keep coming back!  Love your comments and/or questions!  HUGS

Snowflakes and Sparkles

Hi there my friends and blogger buddies!  Gee, This month is getting away from me and I am so NOT ready for Christmas let alone the new year!  Hope you are getting your shopping, baking, cleaning, etc done...I have really been dragging my behind.  Many of the challenge sites are winding down for the holidays so maybe I can get a few more done.  Here is a fun, sparkly, snowflake card. Hope you enjoy it!

I got carried away with the silver glitter glue, way fun!  I used glitter paper from DCWV and blue cardstock from coredinations.  Cricut cartridge: Joys of the Season; Cuttlebug embossing folders: swiss dots and snowflakes. I dotted  Sliver glitter glue on the embossed snowflakes; and tied the ornament with white organza ribbon.  My sweet Sister Sharma wants me to start listing the fonts I use in my digi's so I will: the Joy is All Hail Julia font, the rest is Lynda Wide font.  I have entered this card in the following challenges:
Have a wonderful week and I will have to get a picture of my adventures in dyeing crinkle ribbon posted on here. Now you know why I haven't been making cards :)  Don't give up on me, Keep Following;  I LOVE to have you visit and comment! Here's a HUG!

Pinecone Thank you Card

Happy December!  We here in Utah just survived a massive wind storm.  We had no damage (thank goodness) just no power for a day.  Others were hit hard, hurricane force winds in the middle of the Rocky Mountains?? Crazy!  It is living with no electricity that I realize just how dependent I am.  I longingly looked at my powerless cricut while I  heated soup on top of my gas fireplace!  But all is well and the cleanup around the state continues.  Now the Christmas Season approaches and I find myself humbled by mother nature and grateful for family and friends like you!  So here is a sweet little Thank You Card!

I used Cricut Cartridge Joys of the Season, MME, Coredinations, and Kraft Paper, Versamagic ink in Spanish Olive, Bakers Twine in Cappucino, sparkly pinecone from K & Co. and bling flower from JoLee's Boutique. The stamp is just a generic one from my stash and the sentiment is my own.   I have entered this card in the following challenges:
My time Made Easy - Pretty Palette #37 (Olive Green, Ivory, Kraft)
(WOW I won the My time made easy challenge! WaHoo!
and WOW again this card also won Top 3 VIP in the Party Time Tuesday Challenge!!)
Have a Splendid weekend everyone!  I am spending it hand-dyeing CRINKLE RIBBON!! Woohoo! Look for it on future cards and projects and even a giveaway!!! HUGS....If you aren't following, HEY click that button and join in some fun!!!  LOVE to read your comments and what you are doing!
