Birthdays Are Sweet

Hi Everyone!!!  Wow, did I take a little break or what!!  It has been a weird summer.  I have had two heart ablations this summer as they try to fix my wild and crazy beating heart.  Sadly they both failed but the new meds I am taking have calmed my heart rate down so that is GOOD news!  Anywhoo, I am back making cards.  GEE, I Have really gotten behind in my Birthday cards and even resorted to sending some I didn't make (sigh).   I was looking through my many Cricut Cartridges the other day and have decided that I will try and make a card from each one.  Kind of a little mission I am sending myself on.  So this first one is from the Freshly Picked Cart with a little help from the Flower Shoppe Cart.  Here it is:

It turned out so cute!  The wonderful papers are from Colorbok, Ink from VersaMagic, Twine from the Twinery Pearls from Jolee and the font is Pea Amy with my original poem.  Don't you love the look of the polkadot paper going all across the inside.  I might start doing this for all my cards as I think it really adds something extra.  I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Here's looking forward to a fabulous Fall with my wonderful blogger friends.  Be safe out there!

All the papers were from Colorbok (love them)!!  I used cartridges Elegant Edges and Everyday Pop up Cards.  There is also green organza ribbon, paper doily, pearls, ink in Tea Leaves,  one rhinestone and my own verse using the Keira font.  I am always amazed at how few supplies it takes to turn out a beautiful card!  I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Tiny Bubbles Father's Day

Hi Again, here is card number 2 for Father's Day!  This is the one I made my sweet hubby (just the best husband and father in the world!)  I decided to carry on the fishing theme and loved this fish jumping out of the water!

Isn't this a fun card?  I used my Cuttlebug and Tiny Bubbles folder to emboss the little circles..My husband said it looked and felt kinda like a basketball, lol...I was going for water bubbles.  I used my Wildlife cricut cartridge and the Wrap It Up Cartridge for the tag on the front.  Paper is Kraft and Core-dinations, Caribbean Baker's twine, 2 rhinestones and the font is Kiera.  The sentiment on the inside is mine! I am entering this in the following challenges:
Thanks for stopping by, I really enjoy your comments and friendship!  Happy Summer!!

Father's Day

Ya, I am slow!!!  It's been crazy at my house since the end of May, but hopefully things will ease out so I can get a few more cards done! I am finally getting my two Father's day cards on here although I have missed most of the challenges (sigh).  Well, at least I got my cards finished and handed out ON Father's day.  First up is the Card I made for my Dad.  He LOVES to fish!

Cute, huh!  I used The Cricut Wildlife Cartridge, Paper from My Mind's Eye, Kraft, and Coredinations, Jumbo Java Ink, Jolee's Rhinestones (I thought it needed a little bling even if it was a masculine card) and Robin's Nest dew glass for the eye (it looked so REAL) I cut the fish out twice so I could glue one on the backside and then placed the sentiments.  I am entering this card in More than favors Wacky Wednesday #72 - Fathers Day - that was about the only one left, lol.  Hope you all had a super Father's Day! Be safe out there this summer!

Easter in Pastels

Hello My Friends!  It is April 6th and I have 3 inches of snow outside that fell last night!  Looks like a soggy Easter Egg hunt again this year.  Gee Whiz, I Finally got an Easter card done!!!  Maybe I have drug my feet because I have never really sent out any Easter Cards.  This card is formed around some Easter subway art I found on the web that you could download...just can't for the life of me remember where I found it.  There is so much wonderful stuff out there to enjoy!  Here is the card:

I really enjoy working with pastel papers and they are the epitome of Spring.   I used the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge.  This fab cartridge is a staple for my cricut and I use it a lot.   This lovely paper is from colorbok,  Rhinestones from Recollections, Dragonfly from K & Co., Versamagic ink, green grosgrain ribbon and the font inside is Amaze.  Pretty simple!  Here's wishing ALL of you a wonderful Easter and lovely warm spring weather!  This card has been entered in the following challenges:

Sweet Sympathy Butterfly Card

This is my THIRD card this week. What has gotten into me? Hehehe, just am enjoying playing in my craft room too much! Maybe I better put this energy into my laundry....naw, I'd rather play with paper!  I wanted to finally try a sketch challenge (I have been chicken about this) and I found it made making decisions SO much easier!  So, I guess I will try more.  This sketch is from a Challenge at The Sweetest Thing - Sweet Sunday Sketch #154.  Here is my interpretation of it:

My wonderful Cuttlebug was very useful for this card as I used two different folders-the Swiss Dots, and the little flowers that came with my bug.  Paper by  Cloud 9 (love the stripe); my own crinkle ribbon in Hint of Pesto and Versa Magic ink.  The Stripe ribbon and flat lace are from my odds and ends box, The beautiful butterfly is from K & Company.  This card is entered in the following challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Ch#160 - Lace and Scallops
(There are scallops on the lace, Promise!)
I am looking forward to Spring.  The weather has been in the 60's here this week and my little spring flowers are starting to bud.  Soon my daffodils will be up...Ahhh bring on Spring!
