Simple 4x4 thanks Card

How is everyone doing this week?  Hope you are all great! I've had a fun morning working around the house as I listen to Garrett Hedlund sing a little country music for me.  Love his voice (he was in the movie Country Strong )  Had to go to iTunes to download his songs, they are fab!  Such a great way to get into my day.  Anyhoo...here is a sweet and simple thank you card that you could make in a snap.  I just love the teapot set in the cricut pagoda cartridge. I seldom use this cart and it has just wonderful images...have got to use the cute panda bear on there soon!

And that's it!  I really like the small 4x4 size and need to make more thankyou and thinking of you cards this size.  I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Tall Birthday card on it's side!

Last night I made a TALL card for a challenge, hated it, tore it apart,  laid it on it's side, and 'voila' I liked it! It is amazing what happens when you just change the view.  Here is another Birthday card for my slew of birthdays in October...(got to get some Halloween cards going).

This one is so cute you could easily give it to a child. The supplies were few and fun! I used a 3-D birthday sticker pack from Punch Studio, Paper is DCWV and Coredinations, Recollection Pearls and Paper Studio Ribbon.  Card is 9 X 4 1/4.  I have entered this fun card in the following challenges:
Thanks for taking the time to drop in for a visit!  WELCOME to my new followers and as always, a big HUG to all you faithful followers, you are the BEST!!!

Celebrate with Style!

Hi Everyone!  A special big THANKS to my followers and some new ones who have just joined us! Just love to have you visit and get to know you all better!  This week has been BUSY!!! But I wanted so much to do some of the great challenges out there, so I got a card made today before the big Labor Day Weekend.  Whoopee...here it is!

I didn't have to use much for this card so found some paper scraps to use (which is always a good thing). I've  been wanting to make a card using the dress form on the forever Young Cart and found a challenge  where I could use it, YAH!  I also haven't used my Fancy Frames cart that I bought at the first of the summer...just a word of caution...it is HARD to decide which frame to use, they are all just terrific.  What I used:
  • Used Cricut Cartridges: Forever Young & Fancy Frames
  • Paper: DCWV, K & Company, Core'dinations Cardstock
  • JoLee's rhinestones, white gel pen for stitching
  • computer Digi Sentiment
I have entered this card in the following challenges:
  1. My Craft Spot Ch#23 -  Sew Much Fun (use stitching)
  2. Fantabulous Cricut Ch Me Monday#75 - A splash of Yellow
  3. Shabby Tea Room Week #77 - Birth Stones Mine is December - Blue Zircon
  4. City Crafter Ch Blog Wk#72 - all dressed up (use a dress or dressform)
  5. Party time tuesdays PTT#31 - Anything goes
  6. Scrapbook Sisters Ch#50 - Anything goes
  7. 4 Crafty Chicks - Celebrate!
Thanks once again for stopping in.  EVERYONE have a very safe Labor Day holiday and I am sending my love and best wishes for those of you recovering from the hurricane this past week. Wow, what a scary week, so STAY SAFE OUT THERE! Talk to you after the holiday!

Birthday Green and Gold

Have you ever started on a card with a picture of exactly what you want in your mind and then - WHAM! What happened?  LOL, I knew I was going to use this beautiful Bird from the Cricut Cartridge "Straight From the Nest" (LOVE this Cart!!), but for some reason it went a different direction...and I like it!  I counted up the Birthdays that I need cards for in October and there was like 12 or so.  October is my busiest Birthday month, thus I am starting early and I DON"T want them all to be Halloween cards!

I have to admit I LOVE the branch on the second page!  You could really give this card to either sex, cause men and women both like to fluff out their feathers and preen a bit! Here is the recipe:
  • Cricut Carts: Straight from the Nest, Plantin Schoolbook
  • Paper from K&Company and Core'dinations
  • VersaMagic Ink-Spanish Olive, Distress Ink-Tie Dye
  • Bakers Twine,  Heidi Grace Rhinestones
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
  1. Fantabulous Cricut Ch Me Monday#74 - Birthday Bash
  2. Paper Playtime Ch#53 - Anything Goes
  3. Little Scrap Pieces - No Challenge, Challenge
Have a GREAT week everyone and thanks so much for spending your precious time with me!

Caught a Bug?

I was looking thru my card box and couldn't believe I haven't made a "Get Well" card!!! For Shame!  There were a couple of  fun challenges going and I made a buggy get well card for them!  The Jar has an overlay of plastic vinyl  that is hard to see, but it makes it looks like a real jar!

This last picture is the very back of the card.  I have never shown what I put on the back so here it is.  I always make a matching color label with my blogspot address, then recipients can go check out my blog...GOOD IDEA!!!  Here is the product list for those who would like it:

  • Cuttlebug used Swiss Dots for inside  Jar
  • Red & white Baker's twine
  • Plastic vinyl is a picture protector sheet cut up
  • Heidi Grace  buttons, The Robin's Nest Dew Drops

    Flower Shoppe FUN

HELLO YOU BLOGGER BUDDIES! Finally was able to play with my new Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge I had purchased over a month ago.  It is SO cool....I watched a few tutorials for this cartridge and that helps TONS.  Since I seemed to be heading in a masculine card direction the past few cards I made sure I went FEMALE for this.  I made it especially for a color challenge and the colors are Celery, Lavender and gray...just a beautiful combo!  Here it is:

This was so much fun to do, although the flower is time consuming.  I didn't use many supplies and the card is A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  I  Used only the Cricut flower shoppe cart, Paper by K & company and Core'dinations cardstock.  Sentiment done by computer and two lavender bling jewels.  That is all! Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been doing.  Love, Love, Love to make cards....gee it really is too bad that housework isn't this entertaining!  Love your comments!! HUGS ALL!!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
    1. Birthday Sundaes -Challenge #21-Birthday Cards
    2. CR84FN Color Challenge #35 (Celery, Lavender, Gray)
